Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. We head to the mountains every year for few days before driving to Denver where we meet up with all of my husbands family. Because we're never in town for Thanksgiving I never have to host which means I also don't have to worry about a menu or setting the table. However that doesn't mean I'm not into giving my table a pretty fall feel. When Terri with Decorate and More with Tip shared that October's DIY Challenge would involve a tablescape I wasn't for sure what I would do. Our dining room table is small and we use it a lot. The kids do homework there and it's also where we eat most of our meals. So a full set table wasn't going to happen. Instead I thought I would do something super simple but still cozy. Leather wrapped vases came to mind... I have had scrap leather sitting in my closet for over 5 years now. It's rich color and distressed texture would be the perfect way to add that cozy fall vibe.
Cut your leather into the length and width you need to cover your vase. Glue down each end and let dry. Pour in water and add flowers or greenery. That's it! I'm not sure if it get's any easier than that but the simple addition of the leather really made a big impact.
